Data Protection & Privacy Policy

  1. Introduction
    • This policy explains how Gallery Vision collects, stores, and uses any personal data collected.
    • The Purpose of this policy is to explain how Gallery Vision manages personal data under the data protection laws of the UK and EU to the best of our abilities.
    • As part of this policy, Gallery Vision is committed to the following:
      • Abide by all current data protection laws
      • Inform relevant parties within 72 hours of any data violation becoming known to the company
      • As far as possible, collect only that data which is required to carry out the company’s business and that of its clients
    • Note that this policy covers the rights of individuals and relates to the personal data we process. Therefore, the rights of companies and other non-individuals and data not classed as personal may differ under current law.
    • In many cases, Gallery Vision will act as a data processor on behalf of its clients, who will be the data controller. As a result, many of the legal rights and obligations relating to your personal data will ultimately lay with that 3rd party data controller.

    Throughout this document, we may use the terms “we”, “us”, and “Gallery Vision” to refer to Gallery Vision, the company.
  3. What You Share With Us
    • As you know, we work for musicians! So to provide you with our services, we need some information from you to serve your needs best. Therefore, we may collect different types of information through our services. But, we guarantee that we strictly use your “Personal Information” (i.e. information that personally identifies you or could be used to identify you) to streamline the Services for you. We only process Personal Information upon your consent.
    • When you use our Services, you may share with us, and we may collect Personal Information, which includes (but is not limited to) the following:
      • Your email address when you subscribe to our blog;
      • Your last name, first name, email address and mailing address when you create an account;
      • Your payment information when you buy a paid subscription;
      • Your language of preference, subscription plan, billing information, mastering history and promotional code associated with your account, where applicable;
      • Your files, content, configuration parameters and other information (your “Data”), including your photos, audio files, production preferences, structural data and emails, as well as ancillary information (for example, musical style or type of instrument);

      • Your bank details for us to deposit money

    • After we collect the data, the following legalities apply.
    • Consent: We will specifically ask you if we can use your data and explain to you how we will use it, e.g. promo or newsletter opt-in consent
    • Contractual obligations: If we need to use your data to carry out business associated with an existing contract or business relationship we have with you, e.g. collecting payment details to pay artists
    • Legal Compliance: We may need to collect and pass on specific details to meet legal obligations, e.g. your country of residence for tax purposes
    • Legitimate interest: In some cases, we collect data in a way that might reasonably be expected as part of running our business and does not materially impact your rights, freedom or interests. e.g. storing your IP addresses to prevent fraud

    • The security of all data we hold is handled very seriously; the following describes some of the precautions taken to ensure the safety of data stored by the company; it is not an exhaustive list:
      • All client systems are protected by SSL encryption.
      • Sensitive data (such as passwords and payment details) stored on Gallery Vision servers is encrypted before storage.
      • Will not transfer client data to 3rd parties unless the client gives prior written consent, it is required by law or to undertake business activities as previously agreed with by the client.
      • Data should only be accessible to those authorised to view it; in most cases, this is achieved via username and password access restrictions, e.g., databases and client systems.
      • All data used as part of client Gallery Vision systems operation are stored on servers and operated by companies that comply with current data protection laws.

    • As an individual, you have the right to request the following:
      • Access to the personal data we hold about you, free of charge in most cases.
      • Correcting your information when incorrect, out of date or incomplete.
      • That we stop using your data for direct marketing.
      • We stop consent-based processing of your data after you withdraw that consent.
    • In many cases, Gallery Vision will act as a data processor on behalf of its clients, who will be the data controller. In these cases, while Gallery Vision will do its best to facilitate access to and remove and correct your data, the final legal responsibility for this may lie with the data controller.
    • Note that in some cases, we may be permitted to continue to store and process your data if we have a legitimate requirement to do so; in such cases, we will only keep as much information as is required to carry out those requirements.
    • Note that even after unsubscribing from some services, we may keep your details on record to allow us to recall past relationships where there is a legitimate interest to do so.
